Random YouTube Video Generator
Can’t decide what to watch on YouTube? Switch on the set and press Random to generate a random YouTube video, pulled completely at random from a huge pool of real YouTube videos. Copy the link to keep or share it, or press Random again for another. No account, no algorithm steering you.
Heads up: every spin is genuinely random, pulled from a huge pool of real YouTube uploads. We don’t pick, curate, or screen what plays, so we can’t vouch for what shows up. Watch at your own risk.
How it works
Each press of Random picks a random YouTube video from a pool of hundreds of thousands, plays it right in the screen, and shows its link ready to copy. It’s a YouTube roulette: instead of the algorithm feeding you more of the same, you get a genuine grab-bag, the way flipping channels on a TV used to feel. If a video has been removed or can’t be embedded, the set skips straight to the next one.
Want it non-stop?
One video at a time is fun, but Channel Surfer turns the whole idea into a lean-back cable-TV experience: pick a channel, sit back, and it keeps playing and surfing for you. It’s free to start.
Frequently asked questions
What does this do?
Switch the TV on and press Random. It plays a random YouTube video right in the screen. Don't like it? Press it again. If a video happens to be unavailable, it skips straight to the next one. It's the fun of channel-surfing, one button at a time.
Where do the random videos come from?
They're pulled completely at random from a huge pool of hundreds of thousands of real YouTube videos, spanning every genre and going back years. We don't curate, screen, or control what comes up, so a spin is a genuine grab-bag. If a video has been removed or can't play, the set skips straight to the next one.
Can I copy or share the random video link?
Yes. Every spin shows the video's YouTube URL with a copy button, so you can save a random YouTube video for later or share it with someone. That output is what makes this a generator, not just a player.
Do I need a YouTube account or login?
No. It's free, needs no account, and runs in your browser.
How do I get a non-stop random mix instead of one video at a time?
That's exactly what Channel Surfer does. It turns YouTube into a lean-back, auto-playing cable-TV experience, so you tune in and it keeps surfing for you. It's free to start at channelsurfer.tv.
